Shaant

Shaant

शांत — śānta, at rest. The state, not the effort.

Return to yourself.

A daily practice of attention, mindfulness and habit for adults whose concentration has been taken apart — drawn from Hindu contemplative fundamentals.

चित्तवृत्तिनिरोध chitta-vritti-nirodha

The stilling of the mind’s fluctuations.

Yoga Sūtra 1.2, and the literal thesis of the product. It is also a constraint on the interface: this should not become one more fluctuation, so almost nothing here moves.

अभ्यास · वैराग्य abhyāsa · vairāgya

Steady practice, held lightly.

Consistency without grasping. Practice accumulates; it is never a score at risk. A day you miss is noted and nothing more — starting again asks only that you start again.

संध्या sandhyā

The junctures of the day.

Dawn, noon and dusk are when practice has always happened. The rhythm of the day follows them, and so does the light of the interface — evening should read as lamplight, not as a dimmed dashboard.

Where this is

In development, and quietly. If you would like to know when it opens, leave an address. You will hear once.

Thank you. You are on the list, and you will hear once — when there is something to open.

That did not go through. Try again in a moment.

We store your address, the date, your country, and whether you are on a phone or a computer. Nothing else, and nothing shared. Joining means we may send you one email when Shaant opens, and you can leave at any time. What we do with it.
